The NSGIC Board of Directors, Conference Committee, and staff are looking forward to heading to Nashville, T for the 2025 NSGIC Annual Conference to be held at the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University. The Annual Conference is the place to enhance geospatial excellence and collaboration for state, local, tribal, and federal GIS policymakers and coordinators, private sector partners and other leaders in the geospatial ecosystem. Providing critical and timely networking opportunities, the conference also offers the chance to connect, collaborate, and share with colleagues and partners.
The 3nd Annual National Geospatial Golf Classic will be held in conjunction with the Annual Conference. Proceeds from the Golf Classic event will benefit the 501(c)(3) National Geospatial Collaborative organization. Stay tuned for course info and event registration!
Call for Abstracts
For the 2025 NSGIC Annual Conference we are soliciting abstracts for live plenary content, which will be selected on a competitive basis. Preference will be given to State presentations and those business partners and private sector submissions that feature involvement with the states and/or a panel presentation that includes state representatives.

Geospatial Excellence Awards
CHAMPION | CATALYST | INNOVATOR
Any public sector NSGIC member in good standing may submit nominations for the Geospatial Excellence Awards per the categories below.
- Champion (for leadership and support, often at executive level and/or external to GIO’s office)
- Catalyst (for extraordinary effort and/or results in getting things done)
- Innovator (for creatively advancing geospatial technical capabilities or problem solving)
Service Awards
LIFETIME | OUTSTANDING
Any public sector NSGIC member in good standing may submit nominations for the Outstanding Service Award. Lifetime Service Award nominations may come from any board member or past board member.
- Lifetime (Recognizing a “lifetime” of noted, dedicated and distinguished service to NSGIC, generally awarded at the conclusion or transition point of an individual’s career)
- Outstanding (Presented to an individual or organization that has advanced the national spatial data infrastructure and/or promoted NSGIC goal of efficient and effective government)

Hotel Info
NSGIC has secured a group block at the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University, where the conference will be held.
Once registered for the conference, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the group block booking site. Group rates are based on per diem ($248) plus tax.
